 Igor...It's - it's alive! Starship Scratcher searches for the rare and the unusual scratch built models and miniatures. We also enjoy featuring really good kit builds. I thought Jim Allan's Frankenstein Castle is a very rare build. This is no small model - compare the size of the tower to the doorway in the picture at left!
Jim Allan is an Instructor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he teaches traditional animation, models and miniatures construction and Airbrush Illustration. Starship Scratcher is pleased to present his work entitled "Frankensteins' Castle" where Dr. Frankenstein has taken over an abandoned Medieval castle to carry out his experiments. In this model, we see Dr. Frankenstein guiding Ygor to lift the creature up to the roof where they will take advantage of the storm to bring the creature to life.
