Navigating by the Stars.
Starship Scratcher has the privilege of searching the internet for the best work we can find. Today's Spotlight beams out across the ocean to Turkey, where we find the work of Gurkan Buyukguner and his "Balina Av Kayigi" (Moby Dick) whaling-ship model.
Now I know some of you may wonder - that is not a spaceship, but rest assured that no line will be drawn here!
The ships of old were the dreams of men in Starship past, plus they navigated by the stars, and Gurkan did an awesome job building this model!
This model is film-miniature quality. Built according to a 1/16th scale kit-blueprint, he "scratched" many additional and lovely details, and so we want to recognize his craftmanship.
On his site, you will find all of the extra goodness and fine details that he put into this model. You can also learn from his building techniques. Nice work Gurkan!
